I finally took a fall-time trip. Pumpkins, apples and mums GALORE. A wonderful friend of mine works at a local farm and gives me the first-class treatment. Carving is fun! But, I picked up a sugar pumpkin for baking.

Cool tip: He noted that sugar pumpkins with the crackly skin like a cantaloupe were the best for roasting. I think a pumpkin soup is in my near future.

…And getting back to work was rough on Monday! Although some may find it a drag, I like walking to the local Whole Foods each Tuesday to pick up some fresh fruit and snacks for the office. This week, I couldn’t believe the size of the organic fruit…

This is awesome, you guys! People are figuring out how to MASTER growing pesticide and hormone free! Remember when organic fruit meant you’d be getting a puny apple?! or a super tiny meatless plum?! Those days are (apparently) over. After shopping, I made this awesome veggie sandwich:

wheat bread, goat cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, english cucumbers, avocados & balsamic. delicious, healthy and CHEAP.
How is your week going?
