WTF Wednesdays

First and foremost, I’d like to welcome new followers! Thanks to fyeahcupcakes and fyeahcutefood for posting the cupcakes I made last week. If you’d like to learn a little more about me and what I’m trying to do, click HERE

And now… I introduce to you, WTF Wednesdays: a weekly installment that explains typically simple how-to’s in the kitchen, that you’re just not sure how to perfect. This week: the hardboiled egg.

eggs

First they crack open in the water, then seep everywhere, the pot boils over and make your kitchen smell terrible. I’ve been there! Then you crack one open and it’s still runny inside. How does one easily perfect the boiled-egg? Very easily, as I did before work today…

Cover your eggs with water. Use a sauce pan, and make sure the water is 1. cold (cold eggs/cold water= GOOD) and, 2. at least two inches above your egg. Add 1 tsp of vinegar. Bring to a rolling boil, then pop on a lid and take the pan off the heat. Let sit for 15 to 20 minutes. Crack your shells and peel!
